Arriving to Sweden from Ukraine

As a Ukrainian citizen you can enter Sweden without a visa for a maximum of 90 days, if you have a biometric passport. You can also register and apply for a temporary residence permit under the Temporary Protection Directive. However, there is no passport requirement for those applying for asylum upon arrival in Sweden.

Residence permits under the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive

To get the official resident permit you must first register and apply for a temporary residence permit under the Temporary Protection Directive at the Swedish Migration Agency. You must also present and register a biometric national passport or other Ukrainian identity documents at the Swedish Migration Agency.
